Mistakes -- Never Too Late

Madison, 16, is angry with her parents.  They have the same argument over and over. They don’t want her to hang out with her college age friends.  She realizes the last time she was with them she took some pills to get “spun-out”, but she thinks she can handle it.  They had some “coke”, but she didn’t try it.  Madison thinks her parents don’t trust her. These friends make her feel important.  She thinks she can handle it.  She’s confused, “why are my parents so against these friends?”

Mistakes are normal.  Everyone makes mistakes.  Mistakes don’t have to pull you down. You can learn from your mistakes.  It is never too late to fix a mistake. Mistakes come from making bad choices or wrong decisions.  They come from being with the wrong person or being easily led by them.  Mistakes come from not thinking ahead or mostly not thinking… “Is this what best for ME?”
